KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Qualifications:
·5-8 years experience University Degree, preferably in Engineering or related field
Experience:
·Experience with lean manufacturing and/or Toyota production system
·Minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience, preferably automotive
·Experience with Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis
·Fluently bilingual in spoken and written Mandarin and English
·Basic PC skills, email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
·Able to teach, coach, and lead workshops effectively
·Able to motivate, encourage, and negotiate with suppliers to meet Our Client requirements
·Flexible, able to rapidly respond to new situations and multi-task
·Creative thinker, able to quickly assess problems and drive effective responses
Preferred:
·Manufacturing plant experience, or extensive experience
·Multilingual Mandarin / English / Other
·Expertise with problem solving tools i.e. 5 Why Analysis, 5 Phase, 8D, etc.
·American Society for Quality Certified Quality Engineer
·Experience with error proofing, Statistical Process Control
·Knowledge of a wide range of manufacturing processes and commodities

·Able to travel on short notice within China
·Independent, self motivated, goal oriented, and persistent
RESPONSIBILITIES:
·Ensure the supplier understand Our Client’s supplier quality assurance requirements and comply with them
·Monitor and support supplier’s implementation of Advanced Product Quality Planning process
·Monitor supplier realization of improvement plans resulting from the assessments/reviews through follow-up measures
·Monitor Quality and Delivery performance of assigned suppliers to identify elevated risks to Our Client and drive correction before problems impact Our Client facilities.
·Act as onsite liaison / Our Client representative in any major disruption involving a China supplier or as required by Our Client receiving locations
·Drive continuous quality improvement across the supplier base with the application of Our Client Global Common Current Supplier Quality Tools
·Support CLO APQP Team with provision of workshops, training, layered audits of APQP process effectiveness as needed.
·Other tasks as assigned.
